This Month in 3rd Grade News... Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate…This month in the third grade we will be reading two novels, Chocolate Touch and Chocolate Fever. Both of these novels share a common theme of wanting what you can’t have. We will compare and contrast these two stories and help the students understand the importance of being grateful for what you have.

Finally, we will integrate these books with our science unit on the three states of matter: solids, liquids, and gasses by observing chocolate in its different states. We will then extend this science concept to include physical and chemical changes.
