This Month in 4th Grade News... Another year has come and gone in the blink of an eye. We are so fortunate to have had such great experiences with your children this year. We have one final month remaining, and will use every moment to its highest potential. We remain to have high expectations in class, and are seeing students who are still running this marathon with us. Although we can see the finish line, there are a few more objectives we will press towards.

We recently finished our math unit on reflections and symmetry and are currently working on 3D shapes, weight, volume, and capacity. In reading we have been exploring the world of poetry. The students have shared such great pieces with fantastic enthusiasm. In grammar we have been focusing on capitalization and punctuation. Energy in Ecosystems has been our unit of study in science, where we have explored different habitats. In history, we have discussed Mississippi’s economy. We also had the privilege of spending an entire day in Vicksburg. We explored the Mississippi River by boat, the Coca-Cola Museum, and the Old Court House Museum. The students were enthused and eager to learn in this environment. We all enjoyed our time, and want to express our gratitude to the parents who helped us on this trip.

As we draw to a close, we thank you for your support and wish you a wonderful summer.
